6th at Nationals in Dodge City!

RESULTS ARE IN!
The car #25 finished an impressive 6th place at The Legends
Car Nationals in Dodge City.
Details went like
this: Thursday time trials - everything went well, about mid-pack in terms
of time. Friday qualifying - car was running really well, but Barry felt
that he didn't drive hard enough in time trials - qualifying 14th.
Ran an excellent
heat race Started in the back and finished 2nd, but got disqualified for
"rough driving", so only accumulated last place points for the heat race
which resulted in a final qualification spot of 18th in the A-Main on
Saturday.
Ran the A-Main and
was extremely cautious and conservative. Worked up to 6th - almost took
5th - the guy in front was only 3 or 4 feet ahead at the flag. But, #25
did catch the leaders after starting all the way back in the pack. The
1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers started 1st, 2nd and 3rd so Barry felt
really good about catching them considering the traffic and the consevative
nature of his race. 6th at the Nationals running with the best
in the nation wasn't too shabby - better than the goal of finishing
in top the 10.
All went well - no
crashes and a higher finish than any other Colorado driver!
